Post Bar Law Clerk
We are looking for a dedicated Post Bar Law Clerk to join a leading plaintiff trial firm in Los Angeles, California. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for recent law school graduates or individuals with prior legal experience to gain hands-on training and mentorship from experienced associates. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to supporting the firm’s litigation efforts.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and discovery materials, using established templates.<br>• Conduct detailed legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with relevant laws.<br>• Assist with court filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.<br>• Prepare for trials by organizing evidence, drafting trial materials, and coordinating logistics.<br>• Collaborate with senior associates to receive training and mentorship in litigation practices.<br>• Maintain organized case files and track deadlines to ensure efficient workflow.<br>• Contribute to the firm’s plaintiff litigation efforts by supporting various stages of the legal process.<br>• Uphold the firm’s standards of professionalism and confidentiality in all tasks.<br>• Utilize prior legal experience or law school extracurricular involvement to enhance team contributions.<br>• Work on-site, Monday through Friday, for a full 40-hour workweek.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.<br>• Strong legal research and writing skills, with experience drafting motions and pleadings.<br>• Familiarity with civil litigation processes, particularly in plaintiff-side cases.<br>• Previous experience in legal internships, law school clubs, or community outreach activities.<br>• Ability to manage multiple tasks with a high level of accuracy and urgency.<br>• Excellent organizational and communication skills.<br>• Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.<br>• Must be able to work on-site in Los Angeles, California.
