<p>An auto-consumer warranty firm is seeking California-licensed attorneys to work on a remote basis.</p><p> </p><ul><li>This is a unique opportunity to be trained specifically to assist our client in conducting high-volume depositions and attending regular court hearings.</li><li>This is a temp-to-permanent hire opportunity that offers training, advancement, and competitive benefits.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>The position:</strong></p><ul><li>Our client is a Plaintiff auto consumer warranty firm in Los Angeles, 180+ on staff.</li><li>The position is for Deposition/Appearance attorneys.</li><li>All work can be done remotely.</li><li>The 1 week training starts on Monday, October 13th.</li><li>It will be full-time, 1 week of training on contract, and immediately convert to direct hire if training is successful.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p><ul><li>$40/hour during the 1-week contract/training period, 40 hrs/wk.</li><li>$155k/yr upon conversion + up to $12k timekeeping bonus (following the training period).</li><li>Access to the firm’s full suite of benefits upon full-time hire.</li><li>2,000 hour billable requirement.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct ~5-7 depositions per week.</li><li>Attend daily virtual court hearings.</li><li>Efficiently use Document Management Systems tools to organize and retrieve case files.</li><li>Navigating electronic court filing systems (e.g., PACER, state-specific portals, knowing how to sign-up for remote access to court hearings).</li><li>Maintain accurate timekeeping and billing.</li><li>Redact, add, edit, add a signature into a PDF.</li><li>Seamlessly attend, screen-share, and navigate Zoom and Teams meetings.</li></ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Juris Doctorate</li><li>Licensed, in good standing, with the State Bar of California.</li><li>Ability to work remotely within normal business hours (Pacific Standard Time).</li><li>Comfort with adopting new legal tech and adapting to firm-wide changes.</li><li>Previous experience attending hearings and conducting depositions a plus.</li></ul><p>If you are interested, qualified, and available, send your resume to chris@roberthalf[dotcom] for more immediate responses.</p>
