<p>We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join our team on a contract basis, specializing in litigation and labor & employment matters. This position is remote (based in Los Angeles, California), and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to complex legal cases while working in a dynamic environment. The role is ideal for professionals who thrive in drafting, discovery, and defense-related tasks.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Draft responsive pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.</p><p>• Conduct discovery processes, including propounding and responding to discovery requests.</p><p>• Manage depositions of witnesses, plaintiffs, and experts to gather critical case information.</p><p>• Prepare and argue motions and oppositions effectively in court.</p><p>• Handle legal research and analysis using tools such as WestLaw and CoCounsel.</p><p>• Collaborate with team members on trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and strategizing case arguments.</p><p>• Utilize billing systems like iTimeKeep to accurately track and record billable hours.</p><p>• Attend court hearings and advocate for clients in both state and federal proceedings.</p><p>• Provide training and guidance on billing practices and legal procedures.</p>

<p>• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited institution.</p><p>• Active license to practice law in the state of California.</p><p>• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation.</p><p>• Proficiency in legal research tools such as WestLaw and CoCounsel.</p><p>• Exceptional writing, negotiation, and communication skills.</p><p>• Strong organizational abilities with a proven track record of managing complex cases.</p><p>• Familiarity with litigation software, including document storage systems like NetDocuments.</p><p>• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.</p>
