Junior Accountant
<p>We are seeking an entry-level Accountant to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will handle essential accounting functions for two hotel properties, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with all regulatory standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial reporting, auditing, and operational support while enhancing your skills.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Maintain accurate financial records by managing the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable and receivable.</p><p>• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.</p><p>• Prepare monthly financial reports that provide insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.</p><p>• Conduct audits to verify compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls.</p><p>• Collaborate with hotel leadership to provide operational financial support and ensure smooth financial processes.</p><p>• Record accounting entries accurately and in a timely manner.</p><p>• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records to maintain consistency.</p><p>• Assist in developing and maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.</p><p>• Provide financial updates and reports to hotel leadership and ownership as required.</p><p>• Support additional accounting tasks as needed to meet organizational goals.</p>
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.<br>• Experience with bank and account reconciliations.<br>• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ability to record accurate journal entries.<br>• Familiarity with financial reporting and auditing procedures.<br>• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.<br>• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.<br>• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
