We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This is a long-term contract position within the non-profit sector, offering an exciting opportunity to lead financial operations and contribute to meaningful organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring more than 10 years of expertise in accounting practices, process improvements, and financial analysis.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee month-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.<br>• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to support accurate financial records.<br>• Conduct and support audits of financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.<br>• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain proper accounting records.<br>• Manage manual payroll processes and ensure timely and accurate payroll execution.<br>• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.<br>• Collaborate on data analysis related to Food & Beverage finance to provide actionable insights.<br>• Lead assessments of accounting practices and propose strategies for improvement.<br>• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze data and streamline reporting.<br>• Provide expertise in handling ad hoc financial projects as needed.

<p>• A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and related roles, with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.</p><p>• Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and compliance requirements.</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to prepare and reconcile accounts with attention to detail.</p><p>• Experience with manual payroll processes and/or point of sale accounting</p><p>• Proven expertise in implementing business process improvements.</p><p>• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.</p><p>• Familiarity with Northstar systems is highly desirable.</p>
