We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Little Rock, Arkansas, on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial operations across multiple business units within the transport industry. This position offers the chance to apply advanced accounting skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. • Perform month-end close procedures, including reconciliation of general ledger accounts and preparation of financial reports. • Utilize AS400 systems to input, extract, and analyze financial data for reporting and decision-making purposes. • Develop and manage detailed Excel workbooks to track financial performance, analyze data, and support audits. • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes as required. • Collaborate with internal teams to address accounting issues and enhance information flows. • Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance. • Participate in special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analyses as needed. • Monitor multiple lines of business or cost centers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on financial matters.

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry. • Proficiency in working with AS400 accounting systems. • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis. • Experience managing financial operations for multiple business units or cost centers. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy. • Effective communication abilities to collaborate within a cross-functional team environment. • Knowledge of general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes. • Familiarity with bank reconciliation and other financial management tasks.
