Senior Accountant Payroll
<p>We are looking for a Senior Accountant / Payroll Accountant to assist our client on a contract, possible contract-to-permanent opportunity. In this role, you will oversee biweekly payroll operations and general ledger tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. The Senior Accountant / Payroll Accountant will support multiple business units within the organization, in addition to supporting various departments with reporting and ad hoc related requests. To be considered for this opportunity, you must have strong knowledge of general ledger, fixed assets, Payroll and strong problem-solving skills. </p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Process bi-weekly payroll for the organization using Paylocity.</p><p>• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, troubleshooting issues promptly to maintain smooth operations.</p><p>• Perform general ledger reconciliations, including journal entries and month-end close procedures.</p><p>• Prepare and maintain reconciliations for various accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.</p><p>• Administer health benefits reconciliation, addressing discrepancies with vendors and collaborating with HR.</p><p>• Utilize multiple systems to manage accounting tasks and integrate financial data across different systems.</p><p>• Conduct payroll reconciliations and post payroll journal entries. </p><p>• Analyze variances in reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies independently.</p><p>• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. </p><p>• Support annual audits. </p><p><br></p>
<p>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field</p><p>7+ years of progressive accounting experience</p><p>Advanced knowledge of general ledger, AP, AR, and payroll</p><p>Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Formulas, etc...)</p><p>Familiarity with GAAP; fund accounting experience is a plus</p><p>Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills</p><p><br></p>
