<p>We are looking for a skilled Dispatcher to join our team in Lansing, Michigan, within the transport industry. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless communication and coordination among drivers, schools, and other stakeholders. This is a M-F, split shift, 6am-10am then 1pm-5pm. 100% onsite.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Coordinate transportation schedules and assignments to ensure timely and efficient service.</p><p>• Manage communication with drivers and schools using a two-way radio system.</p><p>• Respond promptly to inquiries and concerns via a multi-line phone system.</p><p>• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing issues and resolving conflicts effectively.</p><p>• Monitor transportation operations to ensure compliance with established procedures.</p><p>• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and transportation logs.</p><p>• Collaborate with team members to optimize routing and scheduling processes.</p><p>• Ensure safety protocols are followed and address emergencies as needed.</p><p>• Assist in training new staff on dispatch procedures and communication tools.</p><p>• Adapt to changing priorities and resolve issues with a proactive approach.</p>

• Proven experience in dispatching, preferably within the transportation sector.<br>• Strong customer service skills with a focus on clear and effective communication.<br>• Familiarity with public school systems and related transportation requirements.<br>• Ability to operate and manage multi-line phone systems efficiently.<br>• Proficiency in using two-way radios for real-time communication.<br>• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.<br>• Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.<br>• High level of adaptability and problem-solving capabilities.
