Business Office Director
We are looking for an experienced Business Office Director to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. This is a long-term contract role that will play a pivotal part in shaping and strengthening the operational framework of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in organizational leadership, strategic planning, and administrative oversight. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a higher education organization by providing expertise in building structures and processes for long-term success.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Provide high-level administrative leadership, ensuring efficient operations across programmatic and administrative functions.<br>• Supervise and support team members, offering coaching and guidance to foster growth and productivity.<br>• Collaborate on organizational structure assessments, identifying areas of improvement and proposing strategic solutions to address gaps.<br>• Develop and implement frameworks for financial oversight, human resources, and administrative processes.<br>• Lead strategic engagement initiatives, including external communications and stakeholder relations, to advance organizational goals.<br>• Oversee the identification and resolution of bottlenecks within approval and decision-making processes.<br>• Conduct gap analyses to pinpoint pain points in organizational systems and recommend actionable improvements.<br>• Support the development of policies and procedures that align with strategic priorities and operational needs.<br>• Provide expert guidance on organizational leadership, ensuring alignment with long-term objectives.<br>• Facilitate network engagement and convenings to strengthen partnerships and collaborative efforts.
• Proven experience in organizational leadership, with a focus on higher education or similar industries.<br>• Strong background in strategic planning, including the ability to assess and build operational frameworks.<br>• Expertise in financial oversight, human resources, and administrative management.<br>• Demonstrated ability to supervise and coach staff effectively, fostering a positive team environment.<br>• Excellent communication skills, with experience in external affairs and stakeholder engagement.<br>• Proficiency in conducting gap analyses and implementing organizational improvements.<br>• Familiarity with designing and implementing organizational policies and procedures.<br>• Ability to work on-site in Lansing, Michigan, with flexibility for hybrid arrangements as needed.
