<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, managing reconciliations, and overseeing month-end close processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations and work with a collaborative team.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met and financial reporting is accurate.</p><p>• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure compliance with accounting principles.</p><p>• Prepare and post journal entries to document financial transactions and adjustments.</p><p>• Conduct regular account and bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.</p><p>• Utilize Yardi software to manage accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.</p><p>• Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide insights into financial performance.</p><p>• Collaborate with the accounts payable and receivable teams to streamline processes and resolve issues.</p><p>• Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation for internal stakeholders and audits.</p><p>• Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards while maintaining high levels of accuracy.</p><p><br></p><p>The position requires a degree in finance, accounting or related field, MBA or CPA is a plus. • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of general ledger processes.<br>• Proficiency in month-end close procedures, journal entries, and reconciliations.<br>• Experience with Yardi software is highly preferred.<br>• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.<br>• Skilled in variance analysis and financial reporting.<br>• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with complex formulas and data sets.<br>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
