<p>Robert Half is currently recruiting for a dedicated and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our client's team in Midway/Greeneville, Tennessee area. This role involves analyzing financial data, managing cost structures, and supporting decision-making processes to optimize operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing accounting and be skilled in various cost analysis methods and accounting software.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Analyze and maintain accurate cost data to support business operations and financial planning.</p><p>• Conduct detailed standard cost accounting for manufacturing processes.</p><p>• Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements.</p><p>• Manage inventory analysis processes, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting.</p><p>• Prepare and reconcile bills of materials (BOM) to support production and cost tracking.</p><p>• Utilize Sage software and Microsoft Excel to create detailed financial reports.</p><p>• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, depreciation, and reconciliations.</p><p>• Process journal entries and ensure accurate month-end close procedures.</p><p>• Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.</p><p>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.</p><p><br></p><p>The position requires a degree in accounting or finance with 1+ years of experience. • Proven experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.<br>• Proficiency in standard cost accounting and variance analysis.<br>• Advanced knowledge of Sage software and Microsoft Excel.<br>• Strong understanding of inventory analysis and bill of materials (BOM) management.<br>• Familiarity with fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and additions.<br>• Experience in journal entries, account reconciliation, and month-end close procedures.<br>• Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
