We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a dynamic team in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is ideal for a skilled individual who thrives in collaborative environments and has a strong passion for financial accuracy. You will play a key part in maintaining the company's financial integrity while working closely with colleagues across departments. Responsibilities:• Manage general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.• Perform month-end closing procedures, including the preparation of financial reports.• Reconcile balance sheet accounts to maintain accurate financial records.• Assist with accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking.• Assist with inventory accounting to ensure proper valuation and reporting.• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows and processes.• Support audits by preparing and providing necessary documentation.• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic planning.

• Proven experience in general ledger management and accounting practices. • Strong understanding of month-end close procedures and financial reporting. • Proficiency in reconciling balance sheet accounts with attention to detail. • Knowledge of accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections. • Familiarity with inventory accounting and related principles. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. • Strong analytical skills for identifying and resolving financial discrepancies. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
