Credentialing Specialist
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will oversee the credentialing and privileging processes to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to the quality of a community-focused healthcare organization.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage and coordinate the credentialing and privileging program with a focus on accuracy and compliance.<br>• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and processes in alignment with regulatory standards.<br>• Review and verify provider credentials to ensure they meet organizational and industry requirements.<br>• Facilitate the re-credentialing process for providers, maintaining up-to-date records and documentation.<br>• Collaborate with provider staff to address credentialing-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.<br>• Ensure compliance with standards set by accrediting bodies such as the Joint Commission.<br>• Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports related to credentialing activities.<br>• Monitor and stay informed about changes in credentialing regulations and industry best practices.<br>• Support audits and inspections related to credentialing processes.<br>• Contribute to maintaining high-quality patient care through effective credentialing practices.
• Proven experience in credentialing, with knowledge of credentialing processes and standards.<br>• Familiarity with provider and physician credentialing procedures.<br>• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.<br>• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with providers and regulatory bodies.<br>• Proficiency in maintaining accurate and detailed documentation.<br>• Experience with re-credentialing applications and processes.<br>• Knowledge of standards set by accrediting organizations such as the Joint Commission.
