We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This long-term contract position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work closely with various departments, including sales and accounting, to ensure efficient billing and collections processes. Responsibilities: • Manage commercial and consumer collections to reduce outstanding balances effectively. • Collaborate with sales, accounting, and other internal teams to streamline collection processes. • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and partners, including architectural firms and municipalities. • Handle work-in-progress billing and ensure accurate and timely invoicing. • Utilize Salesforce Sales Cloud to track and manage collections activities. • Participate in regular meetings with HR and the controller to align on financial goals and strategies. • Contribute to the organization's growth objectives, including doubling revenue over the next decade. • Maintain excellent engagement and foster a positive company culture. • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations in the collections process.

• Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections. • Strong understanding of credit and billing collection processes. • Proficiency in Salesforce Sales Cloud or similar CRM platforms. • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build client relationships. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. • Familiarity with work-in-progress billing is a plus. • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
