Accounting Specialist
We are looking for a skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team in Jasper, Alabama. This Contract to permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a small organization, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in key accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have experience managing accounts and payroll, along with proficiency in Sage Accounting Software.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.<br>• Prepare and process invoices, maintaining detailed records of financial activities.<br>• Handle tax-related tasks to support year-end accounting procedures.<br>• Record and reconcile bank statements across multiple accounts.<br>• Organize and maintain all paperwork and bid documentation for various portals.<br>• Oversee collections and ensure proper handling of organizational forms.<br>• Deposit funds into appropriate accounts and manage multiple checking accounts.<br>• Process weekly payroll for a small team, including handling direct payments through banking systems.<br>• Prepare and file 1099s and W2s at year-end.<br>• Utilize Sage Accounting Software to maintain and update financial records.
• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.<br>• Strong understanding of billing and account reconciliation procedures.<br>• Familiarity with payroll processing for small teams, including weekly schedules.<br>• Knowledge of tax preparation and year-end reporting.<br>• Proficiency in Sage Accounting Software.<br>• Ability to manage multiple checking accounts and bank statement reconciliations.<br>• Excellent organizational skills to maintain and track documentation.<br>• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processes.
