We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a contract to permanent role in Jacksonville, Florida. This position will primarily manage essential accounting functions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting internal controls. Responsibilities:• Prepare daily cash reports, analyze quarterly cash flow, and oversee sales tax compliance and reporting.• Manage project accounting and assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including public company filings.• Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures to enhance financial planning and auditing processes.• Handle month-end and quarter-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting.• Evaluate and optimize accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency.• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments while maintaining organized records.• Manage accounts receivable activities, including processing and collections.• Prepare detailed financial statements and reports for senior management review.• Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and external audits.• Support payroll processing and related activities when needed.

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, with a bachelor's in accounting or finance.• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).• Experience in general accounting and project/cost accounting. • Strong ERP experience, Great Plains a plus but not required.
