Investigator
<p>A growing company - a subsidiary of a large, household brand - is adding a <strong>Spanish-speaking investigator </strong>to their expanding legal team. This role will report to a senior investigator (placed by RH as well) and the AGC/director of litigation. <strong>This investigator will be responsible for working with HR and legal departments, conducting investigations related to employee relations: harassment, discrimination, etc.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><em>Preference will be given to candidates local to Southern California. </em>Candidates with plans for law school in the next 3 years need not apply.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities of Role</u>:</strong></p><p>o reviewing complaints and corresponding docs (HR files, email correspondence, texts, employment records) and weeding through evidence</p><p>o interviewing witnesses (in various time zones - must be able to work odd hours occasionally)</p><p>o identifying trends within complaints</p><p>o partnering with HR to manage complaint files, building strong relationships with them</p><p>o drafting professional reports about incidents and findings</p><p>o note: this role does not require interpreting statutes/recommending discipline</p><p>· Software: EthicsPoint by Navex - would be a huge plus if someone has this!</p><p><br></p><p><em>Pay is contingent upon experience with the duties above.</em> </p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Details of Role</u>:</strong></p><p>· <u>Hours</u>: Flexible, this person will work with people on east and west coasts and schedules may change week by week or day by day, but not much overtime is expected.</p><p>· <u>Profile that would be a fit</u>:</p><p>o Someone who has strong, professional, courteous communication skills (concise, factual, cut-and-dry, friendly but not fluffy)</p><p>o Someone with a strong sense of confidentiality and discretion</p><p>o Someone familiar with how to conduct an investigation (complaint handling, report writing)</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Perks of Company</u>:</strong></p><p>· I placed this investigator’s boss, who is amazing at what she does, plus 2 jr. paralegals at here last year. <p>• Fluency in Spanish, with the ability to conduct interviews effectively.</p><p>• At least one year of experience in investigations, legal, or HR-related roles. <em>Please do not apply if you are a private investigator, KYL/AML investigator, or law enforcement investigator.
