We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a dynamic commercial landscaping company in Indian Trail, North Carolina. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise while managing financial operations and leading a small team. The role requires a hands-on approach and a strong background in accounting and financial management. Responsibilities: • Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Lead month-end close processes, including adjusting and reconciling journal entries. • Manage fixed asset accounting and maintain accurate records. • Conduct account and bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity. • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of 2-3 employees. • Develop and implement financial strategies to support business goals. • Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations. • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations. • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department.

• 10+ years of experience in accounting or financial management roles. • Strong expertise in financial analysis and the preparation of monthly financial statements. • Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entry processes. • Demonstrated ability to perform account and bank reconciliations. • Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and related practices. • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a small team. • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with financial regulations. • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with senior management.
