Controller
We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a dynamic commercial landscaping company in Indian Trail, North Carolina. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise while managing financial operations and leading a small team. The role requires a hands-on approach and a strong background in accounting and financial management.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.<br>• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.<br>• Lead month-end close processes, including adjusting and reconciling journal entries.<br>• Manage fixed asset accounting and maintain accurate records.<br>• Conduct account and bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.<br>• Supervise and provide guidance to a team of 2-3 employees.<br>• Develop and implement financial strategies to support business goals.<br>• Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.<br>• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.<br>• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department.
• 10+ years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.<br>• Strong expertise in financial analysis and the preparation of monthly financial statements.<br>• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entry processes.<br>• Demonstrated ability to perform account and bank reconciliations.<br>• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and related practices.<br>• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a small team.<br>• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with financial regulations.<br>• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with senior management.
