Support Project Manager/Lead
We are looking for a skilled Support Project Manager/Lead to oversee critical IT infrastructure projects with precision and efficiency. This is a long-term contract position based in Houston, Texas, offering a unique opportunity to manage complex IT transformations for a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of IT infrastructure initiatives, including system migrations, while maintaining compliance and continuity.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Develop and execute detailed project plans to ensure alignment with business goals and timelines.<br>• Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams globally to achieve project objectives efficiently.<br>• Identify, assess, and address potential risks and issues to maintain seamless project execution.<br>• Oversee project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and monitor financial performance to stay within scope.<br>• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.<br>• Facilitate organizational change by implementing communication, training, and system adoption strategies.<br>• Manage vendor relationships, including service providers and equipment manufacturers, to ensure project deliverables are met.<br>• Maintain compliance with IT controls and security standards during all phases of the project.<br>• Provide regular updates and reports to executive leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and dependencies.<br>• Utilize project management tools such as Microsoft Planner and Microsoft Project to track and optimize workflows.
• A minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with a focus on IT transformation and system migrations.<br>• Proven expertise in managing IT infrastructure workstreams during corporate spinoffs, divestitures, or mergers.<br>• Strong knowledge of networking, cloud technologies, Active Directory, end-user computing, and data center operations.<br>• Demonstrated ability to lead global, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Experience in vendor management, including collaboration with managed service providers and cloud providers.<br>• Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Planner and Microsoft Project.<br>• Familiarity with IT controls, security best practices, and compliance requirements.<br>• A degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
