Legal Secretary
<p>We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team in the Sugarland area. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity designed for candidates seeking a long-term role in a detail-oriented legal setting. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Prepare and process legal documents, including e-filing and court submissions, with accuracy and efficiency.</p><p>• Manage and maintain calendars for attorneys, ensuring appointments, deadlines, and court dates are scheduled appropriately.</p><p>• Handle dictation tasks and transcribe legal correspondence and documentation promptly.</p><p>• Coordinate and oversee court filings, adhering to all procedural requirements.</p><p>• Communicate with clients, attorneys, and court personnel to facilitate efficient case management.</p><p>• Maintain organized filing systems to ensure quick and easy access to case files.</p><p>• Perform administrative duties such as answering calls, managing emails, and organizing office supplies.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines by monitoring case progress.</p><p>• Assist with document revisions and proofreading to ensure accuracy.</p><p>• Support attorneys in the preparation of trial materials and presentations.</p>
• Proven experience in a legal secretary role, ideally within a law firm or legal department.<br>• Proficiency in e-filing and court filing processes.<br>• Strong skills in calendar management and scheduling.<br>• Ability to transcribe dictation with accuracy and attention to detail.<br>• Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.<br>• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.<br>• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.<br>• Familiarity with business casual dress codes and detail-oriented office environments.
