Dynamics Business Central Consultant
<p>Our Houston‑based client is seeking a <strong>Business Central Functional Consultant</strong> with deep expertise in <strong>Warehouse Management</strong>, <strong>Inventory</strong>, <strong>Production</strong>, and <strong>MRP</strong> to lead a targeted assessment of their supply‑chain and operations footprint. This role is ideal for someone who understands how Houston companies move product—high‑volume, multi‑location, asset‑heavy environments—and can translate operational realities into scalable BC configurations.</p><p>You’ll evaluate current warehouse processes, item setup, replenishment logic, production planning, and cross‑system integrations to identify where Business Central can drive tighter control, better visibility, and more predictable planning. Your recommendations will directly influence how the organization modernizes its supply chain operations across multiple Houston facilities.</p><p>Beyond the assessment, the ideal consultant will guide <strong>future optimization projects</strong>, including warehouse redesign, MRP tuning, production scheduling improvements, and inventory accuracy initiatives.</p>
<p><strong>Lead a full review of Warehouse, Inventory, Production, and MRP modules</strong> within Business Central.</p><p><strong>Assess current warehouse processes</strong> including receiving, put‑away, picks, shipments, bin setup, and location configuration.</p><p><strong>Evaluate MRP and replenishment logic</strong> including item planning parameters, safety stock, lead times, and forecasting alignment.</p><p><strong>Analyze production workflows</strong> (if applicable) including BOMs, routings, capacity, and shop‑floor execution.</p><p><strong>Identify optimization opportunities</strong> tailored to Houston‑based operations (distribution, manufacturing, energy services, industrial supply).</p><p><strong>Document functional gaps and improvement recommendations</strong> across supply chain and operations.</p><p><strong>Review integrations</strong> between BC and WMS, EDI, shipping, or manufacturing systems commonly used in Houston industries.</p><p><strong>Provide functional leadership</strong> for follow‑on projects including configuration updates, process redesign, and user adoption.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Experience</strong></p><ul><li><strong>5+ years of Business Central (or NAV) functional experience</strong> with strong focus on Warehouse, Inventory, Production, or MRP.</li><li><strong>Hands‑on experience configuring warehouse processes</strong> (bins, zones, picks, put‑aways, directed put‑away & pick).</li><li><strong>Strong understanding of MRP and item planning parameters</strong> (reorder point, lot‑for‑lot, safety stock, lead times, planning worksheets).</li><li><strong>Experience supporting Houston‑based industries</strong> such as distribution, manufacturing, energy services, or field operations.</li><li><strong>Ability to lead discovery workshops</strong> and translate operational needs into functional BC solutions.</li></ul><p><br></p>
