This contract position is based in Houston, Texas, with an initial duration of three months, potentially extending up to five months. The role requires a strong background in purchasing and familiarity with procurement systems to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities: • Execute procurement tasks related to software, services, and systems, ensuring compliance with company policies. • Create and manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and contracts using established procurement systems. • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and align purchasing strategies accordingly. • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions. • Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and adherence to agreements. • Maintain detailed procurement documentation and records for audits and compliance purposes. • Support internal audits and compliance reviews by providing required reports and documentation. • Identify opportunities to optimize costs and enhance procurement processes. • Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements. • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles. • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. • Proficiency in using procurement systems such as SAP ECC or SAP R/3. • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms. • Demonstrated ability to manage purchase orders, requisitions, and contracts effectively. • Knowledge of compliance functions and adherence to procurement policies. • Excellent organizational skills for maintaining accurate documentation and records. • Proven ability to identify cost savings and drive process improvements.
