We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join a finance team in Honolulu, Hawaii. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an opportunity to bring your expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger management to a dynamic environment within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities:• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.• Conduct thorough account analysis and prepare journal entries to maintain financial accuracy.• Perform reconciliations for accounts and oversee month-end closing activities, including adjusting entries.• Reconcile multiple bank accounts and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.• Generate and submit state filings reports in compliance with regulations.• Prepare detailed financial reports to support business decision-making.• Assist in gathering necessary documentation for auditors when required.

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on attention to detail.• Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.• Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and journal entries.• Experience with bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.• Ability to prepare accurate financial reports and state filings.• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.• Familiarity with auditing processes is a plus.• Bachelor's degree preferred
