We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join our manufacturing team in Hanford, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing procurement processes, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services essential to production. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to supply chain optimization and cost management. Responsibilities: • Procure raw materials, tools, supplies, repairs, and other items necessary for production and operations. • Place purchase orders efficiently and in compliance with company policies to ensure timely delivery of materials. • Monitor inventory levels, conduct reviews of non-stock items, and analyze dead inventory to maintain optimal stock within company guidelines. • Collaborate with suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions and maintain quality and priority standards. • Follow established processes for purchase order approvals and ensure adherence to purchasing and inventory management policies. • Work closely with vendors to negotiate pricing and secure reliable delivery of goods and services. • Conduct monthly inventory cycle counts and manage stock replenishment procedures. • Analyze data to determine fair pricing and identify supply demands for production and plant upkeep. • Expedite purchase orders and communicate expected delivery dates to relevant departments while ensuring resolution of backorders. • Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs, improve supply chain efficiency, and support manufacturing objectives.

• At least 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles within a manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of purchasing activities, processes, and inventory management. • Proficiency in managing purchase orders and working with suppliers. • Familiarity with good manufacturing practices (GMP) and food safety regulations. • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions regarding pricing and supply needs. • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities. • Strong communication skills for supplier collaboration and internal coordination. • Experience with inventory cycle counting and maintaining accurate records.
