Payroll Administrator
We are looking for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join a government organization in Hampton, Virginia. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your payroll expertise and attention to detail in supporting a large workforce. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processes and timekeeping, with a strong focus on data accuracy and efficiency.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process payroll for over 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.<br>• Manage payroll data entry, including new employee information, payroll adjustments, and tax details.<br>• Handle timekeeping records and verify employee hours for payroll consistency.<br>• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.<br>• Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions and ensure proper documentation.<br>• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements.<br>• Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and summaries for management.<br>• Identify and resolve payroll issues promptly to minimize disruptions.<br>• Support audits and reviews related to payroll operations.<br>• Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration or timekeeping.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.<br>• Proficiency in managing full-cycle payroll processes.<br>• Ability to handle payroll for large organizations with over 500 employees.<br>• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.<br>• Strong problem-solving abilities to address payroll discrepancies.<br>• Experience working in a government or similar organizational setting is preferred.
