We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Half Moon Bay, California. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a key role in managing essential financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will excel in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounting software systems. This role requires onsite work in Half Moon Bay, CA and the hours are Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm (32 hours per week). Responsibilities:• Record and allocate cash receipts while preparing accurate bank deposits.• Input purchase orders into the accounting system with precision.• Maintain organized financial records to support audits and reporting.• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and receivable.• Monitor and reconcile account balances to maintain accuracy.• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports as needed.• Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes.• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.

• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable management. • Proficiency in using accounting software systems. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. • Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices. • Strong communication skills for collaborating with teams and vendors. • Previous experience in a similar accounting role preferred.
