We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Greenwood Village, Colorado. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a background in accounting, preferably within the construction industry. You will play a key role in supporting financial processes during the year-end period while collaborating with our accounting team.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.<br>• Reconcile accounts and verify the accuracy of transactions.<br>• Manage and organize accounting documentation for audits and reporting.<br>• Post equipment usage transactions and review related reports.<br>• Provide backup support for various accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable.<br>• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure smooth year-end close processes.<br>• Utilize Vista Viewpoint accounting software to complete daily tasks and maintain records.<br>• Assist with corporate tax and sales tax-related tasks as needed.<br>• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.<br>• Communicate effectively with team members to address discrepancies and provide solutions.

• A minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience with attention to detail.<br>• Proficiency in Vista Viewpoint or similar accounting platforms.<br>• Familiarity with corporate and sales tax processes.<br>• Strong skills in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.<br>• Background in the construction industry is preferred.<br>• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.<br>• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.<br>• Knowledge of general ledger processes and financial documentation.
