We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Greensboro, North Carolina. In this role, you will manage critical financial processes and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of payments and reconciliations. Responsibilities:• Process and verify invoices for accuracy and proper coding, ensuring compliance with company policies.• Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and other payment methods efficiently.• Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely and accurate disbursements.• Support month-end close activities by reconciling accounts payable records.• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.• Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and financial documentation.• Monitor accounts payable aging reports and address overdue payments promptly.• Assist in improving accounts payable processes for greater efficiency and reliability.• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory compliance in all financial activities.• Provide support during audits by preparing and supplying necessary documentation.

• Proven experience in accounts payable processes within a meticulous and focused setting. • Strong knowledge of account coding and invoice management. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check processing. • Proficiency in month-end close procedures and financial reconciliations. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies effectively. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. • Knowledge of insurance industry practices is a plus.
