Human Resources (HR) Assistant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Galveston, Texas. This role involves supporting HR operations, ensuring smooth administrative processes, and maintaining accurate employee records. It’s an excellent opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment while gaining hands-on experience in various HR functions.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Assist in managing employee onboarding processes, including documentation and orientation support.<br>• Maintain and update employee information within HRIS systems to ensure data accuracy.<br>• Facilitate background checks and other pre-employment screening procedures.<br>• Provide administrative support for employee relations activities and communications.<br>• Organize and manage HR records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.<br>• Support the HR team in coordinating day-to-day operations and addressing employee inquiries.<br>• Assist with tracking and maintaining compliance for certifications, training, and other requirements.<br>• Prepare and distribute HR-related documents, such as contracts and policy updates.
• Proven experience in an HR administrative role or similar position.<br>• Familiarity with HRIS systems and data management practices.<br>• Strong understanding of onboarding processes and employee relations.<br>• Experience conducting background checks and handling sensitive information.<br>• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.<br>• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.<br>• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
