The System Administrator will keep our production, development, and corporate systems stable, secure, and performing at their best. You’ll own the full lifecycle of on-prem and cloud servers — from bare-metal/VM builds to daily operations, patching, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery — ensuring zero unplanned downtime for critical services. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Build, deploy, and decommission physical and virtual servers (Linux and Windows) in data centers and cloud environments</li><li>Install, patch, upgrade, and harden operating systems (Ubuntu, Rocky/AlmaLinux, RHEL, Debian, Windows Server)</li><li>Proactively monitor system health, performance, and capacity; tune OS and services for optimal reliability and speed</li><li>Rapidly analyze and resolve hardware, software, storage, and networking incidents (root-cause deep dives expected)</li><li>Design, implement, test, and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Commvault, ZFS snapshots, cloud backups)</li><li>Automate repetitive tasks with scripting and configuration management (Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, Salt)</li><li>Manage authentication, access control, and security hardening (LDAP/AD, PAM, SELinux/AppArmor, CIS benchmarks)</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation: runbooks, inventory, change records, diagrams</li><li>Participate in on-call rotation and post-incident reviews</li></ul>

<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience</li><li>4–8+ years of professional Linux and/or Windows system administration experience</li><li>Expert-level command line and troubleshooting on Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and solid Windows Server skills</li><li>Deep knowledge of core services: DNS, DHCP, NFS, Samba, SSH, systemd, cron, LVM, RAID</li><li>Hands-on experience with at least one major virtualization/hypervisor platform (VMware ESXi, Proxmox, Hyper-V, KVM)</li><li>Proficiency in backup and recovery tools and strategies</li><li>Strong scripting ability (Bash + at least one of Python/PowerShell/Ansible)</li><li>Familiarity with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus+Node Exporter, Checkmk)</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience managing hybrid environments (on-prem + AWS/Azure/GCP)</li><li>Configuration management at scale (Ansible preferred)</li><li>Certifications: RHCSA/RHCE, MCSE, LPIC-2/3, VMware VCP</li><li>Container platform administration (Docker, Kubernetes basics)</li><li>Storage experience (SAN/NAS, Ceph, NetApp, TrueNAS)</li></ul>
