This Contract to permanent position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of payroll processes and accounting principles. The role involves managing payroll functions for a mid-sized workforce while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Responsibilities: • Process bi-weekly payroll efficiently and accurately for employees in multiple states. • Manage full-cycle payroll operations, including data entry, calculations, and reporting. • Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations and requirements. • Handle payroll systems for employee groups ranging from 100 to 500 individuals. • Oversee garnishments, deductions, and adjustments with precision. • Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate payroll records. • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard payroll processes. • Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. • Collaborate with HR to integrate payroll systems and maintain employee records. • Process manual payroll operations when required.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel. • CPP certification is preferred. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial practices. • Familiarity with payroll systems and software designed for mid-sized organizations. • Expertise in managing payroll across multiple states. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions based on data. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
