We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Elmhurst, Illinois. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing reporting processes, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounting operations. Responsibilities: • Prepare, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts and journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures, adhering to strict deadlines. • Ensure compliance with established financial policies and regulatory requirements, including GAAP standards. • Assist in the creation and analysis of financial statements, forecasts, and budgets. • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. • Facilitate external audits by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors. • Evaluate and enhance accounting procedures and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy. • Mentor entry level accounting team members, providing guidance and support for their development. • Collaborate with departments such as FP& A, operations, and HR to deliver insightful financial analysis. • Participate in special projects, including process automation and system enhancements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • At least 10 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a mid-size or larger organization. • Proficiency in GAAP standards and financial reporting practices. • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis. • Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar platforms. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
