Senior Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in El Monte, California. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your accounting expertise while contributing to the success of our organization. The ideal candidate will bring proficiency in financial management, bilingual skills, and a strong grasp of accounting principles.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Perform full-cycle accounting tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling financial data, and completing month-end close processes.<br>• Prepare accurate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.<br>• Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.<br>• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage bookkeeping activities to maintain accurate records.<br>• Assist in tax preparation by organizing necessary documentation and ensuring timely submissions.<br>• Collaborate with management to develop and maintain company budgets.<br>• Conduct internal audits and provide actionable recommendations for improving financial procedures.<br>• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and state revenue regulations.<br>• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline financial operations and reporting.<br>• Stay updated on current accounting procedures and industry best practices.
• Bilingual proficiency in Japanese or another Asian language is required.<br>• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience for bilingual Japanese candidates; 2-3 years of accounting experience for bilingual candidates in other Asian languages.<br>• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create and analyze spreadsheets.<br>• Demonstrated experience in full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closings.<br>• Familiarity with preparing financial statements and conducting financial analysis.<br>• Knowledge of accounting software systems and ERP solutions such as Great Plains.<br>• Strong understanding of compliance requirements and auditing processes.<br>• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team environment.
