<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Waynesboro, Virginia. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of revenue accounting processes and financial reporting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to special projects, collaborate with various departments, and help improve accounting procedures.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Prepare accurate and timely journal entries to support financial reporting processes.</p><p>• Conduct detailed account reconciliations on a monthly basis to ensure compliance and accuracy.</p><p>• Develop and review internal controls to maintain the integrity of financial data.</p><p>• Lead or assist in special projects, including revenue analysis, process improvements, and reporting enhancements.</p><p>• Provide supporting documentation and explanations to auditors during internal and external audit processes.</p><p>• Analyze billing information and perform research to identify discrepancies and trends.</p><p>• Work closely with operational teams to understand financial trends and budget variances.</p><p>• Continuously evaluate and enhance revenue accounting processes for greater efficiency.</p><p>• Manage contract assets related to revenue accounting and ensure compliance with established standards.</p><p>• Adhere to company safety procedures and uphold the organization's values and brand standards.</p>

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.<br>• Minimum of 3 years of experience in public or corporate accounting.<br>• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and business processes.<br>• Previous experience with revenue accounting standards, including ASC 606, is highly desirable.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including intermediate-level functions and data analysis.<br>• Ability to handle large volumes of data with accuracy and attention to detail.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP is preferred.<br>• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
