DevOps Engineer
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for an experienced, detail-oriented individual who can strengthen source control practices, support development workflows, and help improve collaboration across engineering teams. The position focuses on DevOps best practices, GitHub Enterprise administration, and guiding technical teams through repository and version control initiatives.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead DevOps activities that improve build, deployment, and source control processes across engineering environments.<br>• Administer and optimize GitHub Enterprise to support secure, reliable, and efficient developer workflows.<br>• Plan and execute the transition of code repositories from Apache Subversion to GitHub while maintaining version history and repository integrity.<br>• Partner with developers and technical stakeholders to define branching strategies, repository standards, and access controls.<br>• Create and maintain documentation for repository management, workflow standards, and operational procedures.<br>• Troubleshoot issues related to version control, permissions, integrations, and developer tool usage.<br>• Recommend process improvements that enhance automation, collaboration, and overall delivery efficiency.
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or closely related technical roles.<br>• Hands-on expertise with GitHub Enterprise, including repository administration and user access management.<br>• Strong background in DevOps practices, source control management, and software delivery workflows.<br>• Experience supporting or leading code repository migration efforts in enterprise environments.<br>• Ability to document technical standards and communicate process changes clearly to engineering teams.<br>• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve version control and tooling issues effectively.
