We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Procurement Consultant to oversee and optimize procurement operations for a variety of large-scale projects, including capital improvements and infrastructure. This long-term contract position is based in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, and requires an individual with extensive experience in procurement strategy, vendor management, and compliance with federal and public statutes. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing policies, enhancing governance, and fostering supplier diversity. Responsibilities:• Lead procurement activities for goods, services, and construction projects, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.• Manage procurement operations for major capital improvement and transportation infrastructure initiatives.• Ensure adherence to federal regulations and public procurement laws throughout all processes.• Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies across the organization.• Establish policies and controls to maintain compliance and optimize procurement practices.• Prepare and manage procurement documents, workflows, and lifecycle processes.• Drive supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives within the organization.• Supervise procurement staff and oversee asset and inventory management.• Collaborate with legal, finance, IT, and operations teams to align procurement goals.• Maintain accurate records to support audits and grant reporting requirements.

• Proven experience in indirect procurement and purchasing processes. • Strong knowledge of corporate procurement strategies and contract negotiation. • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and oversee compliance with procurement laws. • Expertise in developing procurement policies and implementing internal controls. • Familiarity with procurement systems and tools for lifecycle management. • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate across departments. • Experience with sustainability and supplier diversity programs. • Analytical skills to oversee budgets, audits, and risk mitigation efforts.
