<p>We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Downers Grove, Illinois. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with extensive accounting expertise who thrives in a dynamic environment. You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, driving process improvements, and collaborating across teams to support organizational objectives.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with technical accounting standards.</p><p>• Manage efficient month-end and year-end close processes, producing accurate and timely financial reports.</p><p>• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows and enhance operational efficiency.</p><p>• Ensure adherence to global accounting policies and assist in the adoption of new standards across the organization.</p><p>• Collaborate on enterprise-wide accounting projects, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive impactful changes.</p><p>• Coordinate external audit requests, preparing necessary documentation such as financial disclosures and footnotes.</p><p>• Leverage Workday financial systems to optimize consolidation processes and maintain system functionality.</p><p>• Foster a culture of accountability and excellence within the accounting team, promoting growth and collaboration.</p><p>• Build strong relationships with finance and operational leaders to address challenges and improve financial management.</p><p><br></p><p>The hourly pay rate range of this position is $35 to $43, plus bonus. Benefits available to Full-Time Engagement Professionals include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Learn more at roberthalfbenefits.com/resources.  </p>

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within mid-to-large organizations or public accounting.<br>• Proficiency in technical accounting principles and familiarity with Workday financial consolidation systems.<br>• Advanced knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Excel, including formulas, and platforms like BlackLine.<br>• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.<br>• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments.<br>• Self-motivated and results-driven with a high attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.
