We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations such as managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and performing general ledger activities. The role includes a hybrid schedule with occasional remote work. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments. • Oversee accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and collections. • Perform general ledger activities, maintaining accurate financial records. • Prepare and post journal entries to support financial reporting. • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure account accuracy. • Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures. • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies. • Provide support for audits and financial reviews as needed. • Utilize accounting software to streamline and optimize workflows.

• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable operations. • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting. • Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries. • Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. • Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing procedures. • Ability to analyze financial data and provide accurate reporting. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
