We are looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounting tasks related to a diverse portfolio of assets. This position requires a strong understanding of property accounting and proficiency in industry-standard tools to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis. Responsibilities:• Handle accounting operations for a portfolio of assets, ensuring compliance with financial standards.• Utilize Yardi software to perform day-to-day accounting tasks and maintain accurate records.• Prepare and manage budgets using Kardin, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.• Conduct month-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting.• Oversee accrual accounting procedures to ensure accurate expense recognition.• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring entries are precise and up-to-date.• Collaborate with senior accountants to support portfolio management and growth strategies.• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.• Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and company policies.• Provide support for audits and financial reviews as needed.

• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in property accounting. • Proficiency in using Yardi software for accounting tasks. • Familiarity with Kardin for budget preparation and management. • Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and practices. • Expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger management. • Ability to analyze financial data and generate accurate reports. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
