Controller (contract-to-hire)
<p>We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our dynamic team on a contract-to-hire basis in Dallas, Texas. As part of a multi-faceted investment organization, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations across diverse industries, including gaming, entertainment, hospitality, and real estate. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing company dedicated to innovation and excellence. 100% ONSITE in Addison, Texas. <em>Must have CPA certification.</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Contract-to hire Controller:</u></strong></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee accounting processes for multiple entities spanning various industries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.</p><p>• Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, recurring transactions, and closing activities on a monthly and quarterly basis.</p><p>• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor daily bank balances to optimize cash reserves and mitigate financial risks.</p><p>• Collaborate with external tax firms to ensure timely and accurate completion of corporate tax filings and payments.</p><p>• Supervise vendor accounts and external relationships, maintaining strong partnerships.</p><p>• Develop detailed Excel reports and analytical tools to evaluate company performance and present findings to senior leadership.</p><p>• Assist in creating and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure departmental and corporate progress.</p><p>• Lead research initiatives to identify opportunities for process and system improvements, enhancing organizational efficiency.</p><p>• Partner with teams across operations, development, HR, and IT to support strategic planning and execute special projects.</p><p>• Conduct data analysis and compile actionable reports to inform decision-making processes.</p><p><strong><em>Must have CPA certification.</em></strong></p>
<p>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; <strong><em>CPA designation is mandatory.</em></strong></p><p>• At least 7 years of progressive experience in corporate or public accounting.</p><p>• Proven expertise in managing organizations with annual revenues of $20M or more.</p><p>• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.</p><p>• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial accounting principles.</p><p>• Experience with NetSuite is preferred.</p><p>• Exceptional problem-solving, multitasking, and analytical skills.</p><p>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative and adaptable mindset.</p>
