Sr. Accountant
<p>We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in West LA. This role involves overseeing financial operations for multi-family and residential property accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in property accounting and a strong ability to manage deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including variance reports.</p><p>• Oversee tenant billing processes, rent collection activities, and delinquency reporting.</p><p>• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and execute month-end closing procedures.</p><p>• Reconcile bank statements and implement cash management protocols.</p><p>• Ensure all processes comply with company policies and regulatory standards.</p><p>• Review and post charges, perform reconciliations, and manage allocation processes.</p><p>• Handle consolidations, including eliminating entries and managing intercompany transactions.</p><p>• Assist with special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Senior Director of Accounting.</p><p>• Maintain and update amortization and depreciation schedules.</p>
• Extensive experience in property accounting, preferably with affordable housing and tax credits.<br>• Proficiency in Yardi property management software.<br>• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.<br>• Strong ability to meet tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the property accounting field.<br>• Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices is a plus.
