Staff Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Concord, North Carolina, on a contract basis. This role focuses on providing essential accounting support, particularly in accounts payable, to ensure smooth financial operations during a leave period. If you have a strong background in accounting and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process and manage accounts payable transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.<br>• Perform account reconciliations to ensure all financial records are consistent and accurate.<br>• Complete bank reconciliations to verify financial statements align with company records.<br>• Accurately code invoices to appropriate accounts and resolve any discrepancies.<br>• Assist in maintaining organized and up-to-date financial documentation.<br>• Collaborate with team members to identify and address accounting issues effectively.<br>• Provide support for month-end and year-end closing activities as needed.<br>• Review and verify invoices for proper authorization and compliance with company policies.<br>• Monitor and resolve any discrepancies related to vendor accounts and payments.
• Proven experience in accounts payable and general accounting functions.<br>• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes.<br>• Proficiency in coding invoices and managing financial documentation.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and vendors.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.<br>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
