<p>We are seeking a Tax Preparer for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a growing and well-established organization. This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys hands-on preparation work, thrives during tax season, and is interested in transitioning into a long-term position.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Prepare and review individual and business returns </li><li>Gather, organize, and analyze financial data and supporting documentation</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations</li><li>Identify potential tax savings and planning opportunities</li><li>Communicate with clients or internal stakeholders regarding tax questions and missing information</li><li>Assist with extensions, amended returns, and tax notices as needed</li><li>Maintain accurate workpapers and documentation</li></ul><p><br></p>

<ul><li>2+ years of tax preparation experience (public accounting or in-house)</li><li>Strong experience with 1040s; business returns a plus</li><li>Proficiency with tax software such as ProSystem fx, UltraTax, Lacerte, Drake, or similar</li><li>Solid understanding of current tax laws and filing requirements</li><li>High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines during peak season</li><li>CPA or EA preferred but not required</li></ul><p><br></p>
