<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Accurately process and submit medical claims to insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid.</li><li>Review and verify patient billing data, ensuring compliance with payer requirements.</li><li>Resolve billing discrepancies and follow up on unpaid claims.</li><li>Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.</li><li>Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and outstanding balances.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance guidelines, coding changes, and billing regulations.</li><li>Collaborate with coding, collections, and administrative teams to ensure timely and accurate billing.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting.</li><li>Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.</li><li>Familiarity with EHR systems and billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Kareo).</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Certification in medical billing or coding (preferred but not required).</li></ul><p><br></p>
