We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for managing essential accounting tasks, including reconciliations, payroll reporting, and balance sheet preparation. This position requires someone with strong attention to detail who can ensure accurate financial reporting and support the organization’s operational goals. Responsibilities: • Perform monthly close processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial records. • Prepare and analyze payroll reports while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. • Conduct detailed account and bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data. • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial statements or accounts. • Maintain and update balance sheets, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded. • Utilize Sage software to manage and oversee financial operations. • Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial procedures and outcomes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required. • Proven experience in general ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations. • Strong proficiency in Sage software and other accounting tools. • Ability to successfully perform month-end close processes and create accurate financial reports. • Demonstrated expertise in payroll reporting and compliance. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies. • Knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including balance sheet management. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
