We are looking for a meticulous and skilled Accountant to join our team in Clayton, Missouri. This Contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting leadership with critical processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in treasury or banking and a strong command of accounting principles.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Handle daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.<br>• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.<br>• Prepare and review journal entries to maintain proper documentation and compliance.<br>• Utilize Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs for financial analysis and reporting.<br>• Manage company credit cards and oversee expense reporting processes.<br>• Conduct payment runs with thorough verification to prevent fraud and ensure precision.<br>• Collaborate with teams on treasury or banking activities to support seamless financial operations.<br>• Maintain organized financial documentation for audits and reviews.<br>• Monitor and verify transactions to uphold compliance with company policies and industry standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• Proficiency in Excel, including intermediate skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.<br>• Familiarity with financial software systems and tools.<br>• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or treasury roles.<br>• Strong understanding of credit systems and basic banking processes.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies.<br>• Proven ability to mitigate risks and prevent fraudulent activities.<br>• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
