Staff Accountant
<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in the north suburbs. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely reconciliations, and supporting various accounting functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with the finance team and contribute to the company’s operational success. Salary up to 85K. If you are interested, please reach out to Steve Cashman on LinkedIn or call Steve at 612.446.5690 </p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.</p><p>• Prepare and reconcile monthly account balances to maintain financial accuracy.</p><p>• Create and record journal entries as part of the month-end closing procedures.</p><p>• Manage intercompany transactions, including sales, payables, and receivables, ensuring proper reconciliation and elimination at the end of each reporting period.</p><p>• Handle treasury functions such as processing wire transfers, issuing checks, cash forecasting, and daily cash reporting.</p><p>• Assist in updating and maintaining documentation for accounting processes and procedures.</p><p>• Collaborate with the finance team on strategic business initiatives and projects.</p><p>• Prepare audit schedules and support year-end audit activities to ensure compliance and efficiency.</p><p>• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</p>
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.<br>• At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting.<br>• Familiarity with NetSuite and general ledger functions.<br>• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis.<br>• Previous experience in accounting within a multi-unit domestic or international organization.<br>• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.<br>• Certification such as CPA or a willingness to pursue certification is preferred.<br>• Experience with private equity, public accounting, or foreign currency transactions is a plus.
