<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Chino, California. This role is integral to ensuring the seamless management of accounts payable and maintaining accurate financial records for our construction company. Please call Brigitte Mendez @ 909-717-4037 or call your Robert Half Recruiter directly.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee and process all accounts payable transactions in alignment with company policies and cash flow requirements.</p><p>• Perform full-cycle accounts payable, including three-way matching of vendor invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.</p><p>• Audit invoices for accuracy and compliance with purchase orders and resolve discrepancies with project managers or vendors.</p><p>• Ensure lien waivers are properly included with invoices and payments to subcontractors and vendors.</p><p>• Accurately code necessary data to jobs and coordinate with accounts receivable to ensure timely billing.</p><p>• Manage employee credit card transactions and conduct audits of credit card statements.</p><p>• Monitor accounts payable aging, prepare weekly cash disbursement schedules, and secure necessary approvals.</p><p>• Track project payments, deposits, and balances to ensure proper allocation and reporting.</p><p>• Prepare month-end accruals for accounts payable expenditures and ensure timely processing of invoices before closing periods.</p><p>• Maintain vendor W-9 files and assist with year-end preparation of tax forms, including 1099s.</p>

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.<br>• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in construction accounting.<br>• Proficiency in job cost accounting and general ledger principles.<br>• Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.<br>• Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Accounting Seed is highly desirable.<br>• Strong skills in Office 365 applications, including Excel, Word, and Adobe.<br>• Ability to adapt to new challenges and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
