We are looking for a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will provide essential support to a team of attorneys across various practice areas, including tenant advocacy, appellate advocacy, juvenile and family law, and potentially immigration. This is a long-term contract opportunity that requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment. <br> Responsibilities: • Prepare and draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and tables of contents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to formatting standards. • Manage court filings and e-filing processes efficiently to meet all deadlines and requirements. • Collaborate with attorneys to provide support across multiple legal disciplines, adapting to varying schedules and priorities. • Conduct research and compile information to assist in case preparation and strategy development. • Maintain case files and documentation, ensuring proper organization and accessibility. • Assist with tenant advocacy, appellate advocacy, juvenile and family law matters, and other areas as assigned. • Coordinate schedules and deadlines for attorneys, providing flexibility and proactive support. • Communicate effectively with legal teams and external parties to facilitate case progress. • Monitor legal updates and ensure compliance with relevant procedures and regulations. • Support litigation processes, including document management, discovery, and trial preparation. <br> The pay range for this position is 22 to 27. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a litigation support or paralegal role.<br>• Strong knowledge of legal practices, procedures, and document drafting.<br>• Proficiency in handling court filings, e-filing, and litigation management.<br>• Experience in civil litigation, complex business litigation, or related areas.<br>• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving attorney schedules.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Effective communication skills for interacting with attorneys, clients, and external parties.<br>• Flexibility to support a range of legal disciplines, including tenant advocacy and family law.
