Staff Accountant
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Brookfield, Wisconsin. In this role, you will work collaboratively with senior staff to ensure the accurate preparation of tax returns and financial documents. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career in a supportive environment within the healthcare accounting sector.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Collaborate with senior team members to complete assigned tax returns, tax planning tasks, and special projects.<br>• Prepare basic income tax and informational returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring all supporting documentation is organized.<br>• Post adjustments to trial balances and maintain accurate financial records.<br>• Perform administrative tasks and handle client-related activities with professionalism.<br>• Uphold strict confidentiality of client information in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.<br>• Adhere to organizational policies and procedures while delivering high-quality work.<br>• Conduct journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.<br>• Assist with sales tax filings and corporate tax return preparation as required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.<br>• Proficiency in corporate tax preparation and sales tax filings.<br>• Strong understanding of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.<br>• Familiarity with preparing corporate tax returns for various business entities.<br>• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.<br>• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.<br>• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.<br>• Knowledge of healthcare accounting practices is a plus.
